The COVID-19 pandemic forever changed the landscape of education. School administrators and educators were challenged to ensure students were safe from the spread of COVID-19 while also keeping them safe from unsuspecting dangers occurring when shooters enter schools with the intent of harming as many people as possible. In the midst of ensuring the safety of children, teachers were expected to provide instruction to prepare children for college and beyond.
